|  Dark alt rock, these guys could really scare you live if you closed your eyes. They released an EP and a 7" single on Flying Nun before disbanding and reforming as the Headless Chickens. Never quite reached their promise. "Gutter Puppet" is only available on the Biding Our Time compilation. They had a few other goodies that never got recorded for the permanent record.
The band were made up of Chris Matthews- Guitar and Vocals, Bevan Sweeney - Drums, Johnny - Bass, and Grant Fell - Guitar.
Bassist Johnny later committed suicide by hanging while in the early stages of the Headless Chickens.
Chris Matthews now lives in Dunedin where he writes and performs with Voyeur.
In April 2005 a collection
and studio and live tracks
were released as "Looking
For The Sun". The
band reformed for one show
only to celebrate the release
of the album. See the

"One
show only" turned into
three with further gigs being
played at Kings Arms Tavern,
Auckland (29 July) and Bar
Bodega, Wellington (12 Aug).
